![]() ![]() You want me to be the Villain, Corona? Then that’s just what I’ll do. I’m tired of being forced into a role I never wanted to play by society, by some magic system, and by the “Heroes” who enforce it. Sent down the wrong track by some preordained magic force that ensures any good we attempt to do ends in disaster? Causing accidents or losing our tempers and causing a scene, accidentally harming innocents, or worse? Sometimes even harming our own families because of something outside of our control…! Mere children, made to doubt ourselves because no one wants to be around us. How many of you have wanted more? How many of you have wanted to be able to do great things yourselves, but are doomed to mediocrity? How many of you have wanted to be the center of attention, but are always overshadowed by one of these Heroes coming to save the day?Īnd my fellow Villains… How many of you actually wanted this role? Who would want this role? Scorned and ostracized from the time we’re born, especially those of us with “Heroic” parents. More like enforce a society that benefits them.īut tell me this, Civilians of Corona. They live the high life, so of course they try to "defend the good of society". Destined to lead the people, get plenty of attention, leadership positions, money, you name it. Destined from birth to do “great things”. Of course, the Heroes of the world continue to enforce an unfair system. That’s hardly fair, don’t you think? Why should we have to listen to some magical system that was created thousands of years ago just because some ancient king wanted an easy way to know who could and couldn’t be trusted? We’ve let this system rule our lives for centuries! Unremovable, magical marks that lead us down the path we’re marked for whether we want to follow it or not. Every single one of us was born into an unjust system that labels us from birth! The marks of the Hero, Villain, or Civilian we’re given when we’re born dictate our entire lives. My name is Varian - but to you, I’m just one of the villains your city has a duty to condemn.īut that’s only what our society tells you. It's just a little something I thought up, but I hope you like it! Normally I'd post it on AO3 and post the link here, but this one's pretty short so I'm not sure I want to upload it It's meant to be something of a Modern Fantasy AU where citizens of Corona, and maybe even the world, are given magical marks that label them in a specific role from birth. The end result was this little drabble I'm posting. While I was working on my outline, I came up with a neat idea and wanted to scribble it down. Tomorrow from Annie and although not a ballad, you might really connect to the lyrics in When Will My Life Begin from Tangled right now!įor additional ideas, check out this curated Spotify playlist.Hullo! So, TISE is still in the works, I only have a few more chapters to plan out, so progress is chugging along at its own pace. ![]() Part of Your World from The Little MermaidĪnd likely super relatable at this time of uncertainty: Send us a video of your performance to some power ballad suggestions? Let us see how you can really show your acting skills! For a challenge, consider choosing a duet and act this out with a sibling or friend. Now, once you have it memorized, don’t sing it, just talk it! Perform it with full emotion and complete commitment to the character. ![]() Think about the emotion this character is portraying.
